Let’s Go Fitness builds regional stronghold

8 Aug 2017

Let's Go Fitness is steadily reinforcing its bastion in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, to reach  a milestone of fifty clubs with over 50,000 members next month, after more than twenty openings and substantial upgrades in the last three years.

The company has been ramping up investments on the western side of Switzerland amid rapid concentration in the country’s fitness market, which has seen competitors from German-speaking Switzerland moving into other parts of the country.

Let’s Go Fitness had 28 clubs when the majority of its shares was taken over in September 2014 by Afinum, a Swiss investment firm. But the number had increased to 41 at the end of last year, it has acquired another eight so far this year and is opening a second club in Villeneuve in October.

The group has so far managed to uphold its regional leadership with proximity gyms that offer a distinct set of services, as well as investments in the larger cities – including a Les Mills Immersive studio for indoor cycling.
